Registration/ practice for the skate/bike
contest opens at 12:00 noon and the
contest starts at 2 p.m
SKATE /BMX COMPETETION INFO
The THREADZFEST skateboarding/bike event is operated as a ‘jam’ format, which is an open forum for all skaters and riders to compete together within their respective sport-specific session. The jam-style arrangement is a more relaxed environment and encourages the competitors to try various maneuvers and tricks. We will also have a best trick award that will be awarded at the end of the Jam Event for all competitors. All participants are required to wear helmets to compete.
REGISTRATION
Each competition offers 50 entry positions and is open to both male and female competitor’s aged 6 and up. Contest registration forms are available at Threadz. There is a $10 entry fee, and all participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the liability waiver. The competitions start immediately following registration.
All competitors should arrive on time to register as the comps fills up quickly. Competitors indicate which category they will compete in on their registration form and are divided accordingly. The categories for Skateboarding, SK8 13 and under, SK8 14 up, and skate ADVANCED. BMX is going to be 1 class open to all. Classes are subject to change due to special interest or enrollment and event.
PERFORMANCE JUDGING
Competitors will be judged on their performance in two heats, approximately 5 minutes in length, with up to 5 competitors participating at once. Scoring is based on variety, style, skill, and amplitude. The scores for both runs are then combined to get total score for each competitor, and determine the first, second and third place winners. Judging is voluntarily provided by local skate/bike shops, industry related representatives and local volunteers. Awards and results for each comp are announced at the end of the event.
Limited enrollment, registration fills up quickly at event. The competitions start immediately following registration. We reserve the right to change competition format, refuse entry, disqualify/suspend participants, or eject anyone from event premises as needed to provide a safe and organized competition/event.
